Hey all,
What do you all think of Pearl Jam? I think they are just ok. Some of their songs I can't even understand the lyrics to. Some of you may agree with me on that.

Agreed. PJ is good and like them, however he does kind of sound like he's drunk and trying to sing, like in the song Yellow Ledbetter. Laterz.

Confession time, Pearljam were my teen angst drug of choice. Had the requisite crush on Eddie Vetter, nearly wore through my second hand copy of Vitalogy, felt betrayed and angry when they went all mainstream, moped for weeks when I couldn't afford a ticket for their one and only Perth Tour, the whole shabang. I still get a bit emotional when I hear Nothing Man, and that horrible Last Kiss thing that hit the charts still fills me with rage, so obviously I've yet to grow out of it entirely.

Hi, I didn't like Pearl Jam at first, then I moved to a tiny po-dunk town in Montana and my sister left her copy of Pj's Ten album. Nobody in the town listened to Pj that I know of, mostly country and some contemporary stuff. This was back in'93 when grunge was really popular. Hearing songs from Ten really brings back memories of getting ready for school and listening to that album. I haven't heard much of their new stuff, but I do like some of their earlier work. I do agree, that Eddie Vedder's voice can be annoying so I listen in moderation. I'm sure some of their newer stuff I'd like, but I don't like their cover of Last Kiss. That wasn't a favorite song of mine to begin with. My mom had a tape with that song on it, and I always found it to be depressing. I love Alive and EvenFlow though.
